All about the 4 Days Gorillas Wildlife & R Nile.

The Bwindi Impenetrable Forest is a large primeval forest located in south-western Uganda in the Kanungu District. The forest is on the edge of the Albertine Rift, the western branch of the East African Rift, at elevations ranging from 1,160 to 2,607 metres.

  1. Day1 Arrival Entebbe Airport and transfer to Bwindi

    Arrival at Entebbe Airport, Our guide will pick you up and transfer you to Entebbe to the hotel booked for an early morning breakfast. That same morning, you will set off for your road travel to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park famous for the endangered mountain gorillas trekking. The travel to Bwindi may last for over eight (8) hours and thus will get to arrive later tin the afternoon/evening.

    Overnight at hotel; Sanctuary Gorilla Forest Camp (FB) or Mahogany Springs Lodge (FB) or Gorilla Lodges or Buhoma Haven Lodge (FB) or Broadbill Forest Camp-Ruhiija (Budget).

  2. Day1 Day 2: Entebbe to Bwindi Impenetrable falls national park

    (There is an optional to track Gorillas from Ruhijja).

    After breakfast take a short drive to Park Headquarters and meet with excellent local guides and trackers who will give a talk on the etiquette of gorilla trekking. We then hike into the forest where the gorillas were seen the night before and track from that point. The trekking can take from 2 to 8 hours (depends on luck and how far the gorillas traveled the night before) and climb to altitudes in excess of 7,500 feet. The terrain is rough and at times muddy. Although the Hike is physically demanding, once the gorillas are located all fatigue is forgotten, as the experience is often described as being the most profound natural history experience.

    Picnic lunches are provided and it is important to take plenty of water. Cameras and plenty of fast speed film is recommended. You will spend one hour with one of our closest relatives. It can rain at a few minutes notice; hence waterproof clothing is a good essential including zip lock bags for cameras and film. N.B. We cannot guarantee seeing Gorillas. In the later afternoon, optional to go for a village walk that include visiting the Batwa homes for their livelihood historical experience or Traditional entertainment and performance.

    Overnight at hotel; Sanctuary Gorilla Forest Camp (FB) or Mahogany Springs Lodge (FB) or Gorilla Lodges or Buhoma Haven Lodge (FB) or Broadbill Forest Camp-Ruhiija (Budget).

  3. Day 3: Travel from Bwindi to Entebbe

    Early morning breakfast and later travel back via Mpigi famous for Equator line and then to Entebbe for an Overnight at; Lake Victoria hotel or Hotel No.5 (Luxury) or Bestwestern Premier Hotel (BB) (Budget).

  4. Day 4: Travel from Entebbe to Jinja (source of the Nile)

    Early morning breakfast and later travel to Jinja,discover the source of the Nile,indulge in White Water rafting, bungee jumping, quad biking, zip lining. Later in the afternoon, transfer to the Airport for the scheduled flight.
