The 6 days Congo safari covers the attractions in Congo, not limited to mountain gorilla trekking in virunga national park, hiking mountain Nyiragongo and lastly trekking the eastern lowland gorillas in Kahuzui biega national park.

  1. Day 1 Transfer from Kigali to Virunga National park congo through goma.

    Following your 6 days Congo safari, you guide will pick you from any place of your choice, you will be briefed about your safari, later embark on a safari to Virunga national park. Pass through the lush country side of Rwanda, through Gisenyi Pass by lake kivu. Later cross into congo from goma and proceed to Virunga national park.   2. Day 2  Gorilla trekking in Virunga national park.

    In the morning after breakfast, you will be picked by you guide and transfer you to the park headquarters for briefing. You will be briefed about gorilla trekking. Later be assigned game rangers and specific gorilla family to track from. Move into the jungles in search for mountain gorillas, the trek will take between 50 minutes to 5 hours, as you search for the gorillas, you will come across other wildlife and bird species. When you meet up the gorillas, you will be thrilled and you forget all the hustle you went through to get to them, be given a maximum of 1 hour to interact with the gorillas. Later exit the park and transfer back to your lodge area have lunch and relax , dinner and overnight stay at the lodge

  3. Day 3 Nyiragongo hike

    In the morning, you will transfer to Kibati village where Nyiragongo hike commences. Later you will be at the service of the porters who will aid your hike, begin the hike the mountain, for you to have successfully hike you need to be a considerable fitness level.   4. Day 4 Descending and transfer to Bukavu.

    In the morning , you will descend mount nyiragongo , descending will see you at the bottom by 11:00am, later you will board the vehicle and transfer to Bukavu in the south. The drive takes approximately 5 hours. Upon arrival, you will check in at your lodge/ hotel for dinner and an overnight stay.

  5. Day 5 Gorilla trekking in Kahuzi biega national park

    Early in the morning after breakfasts, your safari guide will drop at the park headquarter for briefing of gorilla trekking. The eastern lowland gorillas are bigger that the mountain gorilla, this is a result of terrain differences. Head to the jungles in the search for the eastern lowland gorillas and upon meeting them , you will a maximum of 1 hour to spend with the gorillas, take photos with with and find out more about how they behave. Depart the forest , with an option of visiting the chimpanzee orphanage . alter head to your lodge for a relaxation for dinner and an overnight stay.

  6. Day 6 Depart Bukavu congo for Kigali.

    Early in the morning , have breakfast and later check out your lodge and emberk on a transfer back to Kigali , if time allows you will have an opportunity to visit the king of Nyanza with his tomb alongside his wife. Proceed northwards and also if possible you also drop by Butare museum to view the cultural aspects. Arrive in Kagali an if you have a flight that day, you will be dropped at the airport.
