All about the 3 Days Lake Mburo NP.

This 3 Days Lake Mburo National Park Lake gets you to a Uganda Safari destination, conveniently located 240 kilometers from Kampala yet endowed with abundant flora and fauna. Lake Mburo National Park is has an extensive 50 kilometer wetland eco-system that harbors more than 300 bird species, aquatic animals, antelopes and other wildlife. The park has a beautiful landscape of rolling hills, Savannah grassland, lakes and swamps which favors several tourism activities such as the game drives, boat cruise, nature walks, horse riding, cycling, fishing, birding, quad biking among others.

  1. Day 1 Kampala – Lake Mburo National Park

    Our safari guide will pick you from your hotel and depart by road to Lake Mburo National Park. Lake Mburo is one of Uganda’s smaller national parks extending over 260 Km of undulating territory. Have a stopover at the Equator for photography, and at Royal Drum makers to see the ceremonial drums of the Buganda Kingdom. Have Lunch Enroute. Proceed to Lake Mburo National Park. The drive will give you the chance to view different animals harbored in the park. These include Burchell’s zebras, Oribis, Defassa waterbucks, Bohor reedbuck, impalas, elands and other ungulates. There are also bird viewing opportunities since the park is blessed with a number of birds such as African fin foot, papyrus bush shrike. After checking in, you will take an evening game drive. Dinner and Overnight in Mihingo Lodge / Mantana Tented Camp / Arcadia Cottages, Eagle’s Nest .

  2. Day 2 Game drive, Nature walk

    Take a morning game drive to catch up with the early risers. Return to the lodge for breakfast. A ranger guide takes you for a nature walk to the Salt Lick Area which is a strategically located wooden platform (Observation point). You will have the chance to see at least four different species of animals at any one point while they lick the salty soil. Lake Mburo is the only place in this part of Uganda where you can see zebras and Impalas licking salt. It’s also the best place to see the African Eland, Africa’s largest antelope! After lunch visit the Nkokonjeru tombs belonging to the last two Kings of Ankole kingdom and later go farm tourism adventure at the local people’s farms to see the Ankole long horned cattle. Return to the Hotel/lodge for dinner and overnight as above.​

  3. Day 3 Return for Kampala​

    After breakfast we shall drive back to Kampala or transfer to airport for flight.
